Parts Used: Tender Leaf, Petiole (After cooking)

Seasonal Availability: June-January

Key identification features: Herbs with stoloniferous rhizomes. Leaves few to many, peltate, ovate to sagittate. Flowers small, with a stout peduncle, yellow spathe, and cylindrical spadix. Male and female flowers on separate parts of the spadix, with fruit as an aggregate of globose berries.
