Distribution: Tropical Asia

Key identification features: The deciduous tree bark is grey to greyish-brown, and the branchlets are densely covered in fine hairs. The flowers are bright orange-red, and grow in densely fascicled racemes at the terminal or axillary positions. The pod is oblong in shape, with a flat base that is wing-like and indehiscent.

Uses: The plant has significant medicinal uses, including treating respiratory issues, skin conditions, and digestive problems, thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
