Key identification features: Glabrous shrub or herbaceous perennial plant; woody rootstock and long, slender, grooved, glabrous branches. Flowers in few flowered axillary racemes. Perianth-tube greenish-white, limb purple or brown. Capsule oblong or globose, pendulous; seeds winged.
